It’s more fun with a friend but I’d rather get outside alone then not get outside at all!

I voted Skiing, but that would be Solo Nordic XC Skiing. It’s always much more fun and makes great memories when you can share your outdoors experiences with family and/or friends! “Life’s An Adventure!” (share the adventure;)

Would love to try snowshoeing. Anticipating getting a lot of snow in the Mid-Atlantic this year.
November 4th, 2014 at 2:30 pm
Running gives you the best time to think and unwind after a day at work:-)
November 4th, 2014 at 2:30 pm
I hike by myself a lot. It’s better than not going at all!
November 4th, 2014 at 2:31 pm
Hoping to do Frisco’s Romp to Stomp this winter in Colorado – these would be awesome! Get out and do something!
November 4th, 2014 at 2:35 pm
I once went for a solo trail run and bumped into a neighbor moose. We briefly exchanged our hellos and went on our merry way.
November 4th, 2014 at 2:37 pm
i love heading out alone, though usually my dog is with me!

I actually prefer running, hiking and camping alone :)
November 4th, 2014 at 8:18 pm
Just finished my longest distance ever in a race…30K trail race…while I didn’t run that solo, several of my training runs were, and in certain parts of the race I was the only one around :-)
November 4th, 2014 at 8:33 pm
I did my 1st 50k at the finger lakes 50. 8.5 hrs in the woods myself was glorious!!! Can’t wait for my next one.
November 4th, 2014 at 9:08 pm
Luv Tubbs
November 4th, 2014 at 9:41 pm
I may have done those things by myself, but I’ll always prefer to have my TurboPUPs with me if I can!!!
November 4th, 2014 at 10:12 pm
Being alone means I move with the speed and energy I choose to…sometimes pushing hard, other days absorbed in the smells and sounds as I run, bike, paddle, or explore.
November 5th, 2014 at 3:43 am
I really want to win!
November 5th, 2014 at 3:50 am
Trail running alone can be dangerous if you don’t take certain precautionary steps, but it is worth it if you go out there and be smart!
November 5th, 2014 at 4:00 am
This is a great contest!
A solo run can be amazing but I bet it’s even better in snowshoes.
November 5th, 2014 at 4:01 am
Only 2 for me…I need to try some new solo outdoor adventures!
November 5th, 2014 at 7:08 am
I would LOVE to win these snowshoes!!
Thanks for the opportunity.
November 5th, 2014 at 9:14 am
Thanks for the give away!!!
November 5th, 2014 at 9:31 am
I love being outdoors. Sometimes I crave the alone time and other times I prefer to be with others enjoying the company and conversation. Either way, I’d much rather be outside than in the gym or on the couch! I’m definitely not afraid to go it alone!
November 5th, 2014 at 9:43 am
Epic!
November 5th, 2014 at 10:40 am
Snowshoeing should have been an option on this list! My absolute favorite winter activity is snowshoeing solo (well with my yellow lab!). Outdoor activity solo is one of the best ways to get away and relax:)
November 5th, 2014 at 11:17 am
Next challenge for me, if I won these, would be snowshoeing in a national park. I can hear the quiet now! Would love to get started in this Winter activity!
November 5th, 2014 at 12:27 pm
I am an avid hiker. You will fond me every weekend on the trails. I currently reside in New York and have recently become a Adirondack 46er completing our 46 high peaks! I hike year round and tubs is my go to snowshoes!
November 5th, 2014 at 2:22 pm
Would love to bike/kayak solo next summer. This would involve dropping kayak at river, parking truck at bridge and biking bake to kayak.
November 5th, 2014 at 2:36 pm
I just came here to try to win these for my future wife, I can see that that’s against the odds, but it’s worth a try. And if I do, she’ll be one stoked lady, that’s for sure! : D
November 5th, 2014 at 3:33 pm
I love the great outdoors! Hiking and snowshoeing are a lot of fun.
November 5th, 2014 at 5:48 pm
I would love to win some Tubbs FLEX VRT womens snowshoes! Voted! woo hoo!
November 5th, 2014 at 6:40 pm
If I didn’t ski, kayak, run, snowshoe, hike, or skate alone, I’d end up almost never doing any of them at all.
November 5th, 2014 at 7:51 pm
Would love to win the snowshoes! I would use them in Northern Michigan all winter long!
November 5th, 2014 at 8:09 pm
Just finished a fall hiking challenge solo – 120K of trails! I usually dread winter but determined this year to make the most of the snow and hit the trails snowshoeing!!
November 5th, 2014 at 8:28 pm
Like doing things on my own, but find it’s more fun with a friend!
November 5th, 2014 at 10:14 pm
Snowshoeing us my favorite winter pastime
I enjoy going alone at nite with headlamps
On smaller trails in the woods nearby
I’d love to win these shoes !
November 5th, 2014 at 11:06 pm
I love skiing solo, snowshoeing would give me the chance to get lost for hours!
November 6th, 2014 at 5:56 am
Love been outdoors! Rather with friends and family then alone. You can share all the laughter and fun times by the fireplace. You all do the snow dance now, you hear. :)
November 6th, 2014 at 10:36 am
Is it considered alone if my two favorite buddies, my border collies, are with me? It is probably cheating a little bit. Love to get outside solo or with friends. I have an older pair of TUBBS I got for Christmas in 2011. Love them! Would love to have a new pair and pass the loved ones on the my sister, who recently moved to my hometown. We get a ton of snow in the winter, and I am looking forward to getting on my TUBBS soon.
November 6th, 2014 at 2:43 pm
There’s nothing like a solo trip with any adventure style you choose! Skiing solo reminds me to appreciate my surroundings and live for every moment. When I have the chance to do this, it really freshens my perspective on life and what I plan to make of it. As they say, ‘NO FRIENDS ON A POWDER DAY!’
November 6th, 2014 at 4:45 pm
I don’t think it’s cheating if you bring your dogs!
November 6th, 2014 at 6:43 pm
I like doing things on my own, but it’s much more fun with a friend!
November 6th, 2014 at 7:14 pm
Love getting out with or without anyone.
November 9th, 2014 at 12:28 am
Some activities, it is not safe to do it all alone, by yourself, with no one around you.
Love getting out there in the wild and be the wild one. It is a lot of fun with fun friends :)
A fabulous prize to win. Good Luck, Everyone!

I did some rope soloing (rock climbing), which turned out to be extremely liberating – especially since rock climbing so often requires at least 2 people — the climber and the belayer. I wanted to explore rope soloing specifically (I got some great tips before going out and trying it myself) to see how being alone on the rock with nothing but my gear, knowledge of the system, and self-reliance would alter the experience of climbing. And it was awesome! To clarify rope soloing is different than free soloing, which is rock climbing without a rope. It was really important to me to have the safety gear and build the confidence and expertise to use it by myself. When I actually did it by myself, I felt extremely secure (I wasn’t willing to gamble with ANY uncertainty about my system set up) and I was empowered by this! I’m all about taking advantage of gear to create a richer experience. A sweet pair of snowshoes would be an awesome way to get to some new places with less trodden paths during ice climbing season! :-D

Running and snowshoeing are the only things that make snow bearable to me. I’d much rather kayak, cycle and run in warmth, but with those options closed to me for several months a year, I have come to embrace snowshoeing. Love it.
November 12th, 2014 at 3:37 pm
Running is my primary sport but I’m lucky enough to live in a place where I can head out my back door to go snowshoeing in the winter, up Peter Hill, the highest point in my town. Beautiful woods, quiet trails, people and nature at its best!
November 13th, 2014 at 5:44 pm
Happiest outside and while I love hiking all year round, Winter has become my fave, because I can keep snowshoes in my trunk or strapped to my pack and be on a fun snow packed trail in minutes.
November 15th, 2014 at 12:48 pm
Solo hiking and trail running are my favorite ways to unwind. Nothing takes you away like beautiful scenery and the sounds of nature!
November 15th, 2014 at 4:41 pm
Running is best alone! Give me plenty of time to think.
November 16th, 2014 at 5:35 pm
Running by myself is the best way to clear my mind!
November 18th, 2014 at 7:53 pm
Running alone is my therapy, but it is always
A blessing to run with my man and my dog.
November 29th, 2014 at 7:46 am
Traveled to Iceland by myself a few years ago! Often hike, bike, run, travel by myself – a chance to be free to make your own path, but also to meet new people if you choose. Just moved to Maine by myself (lifelong dream!) – already met LOTS of great people with whom I could use those awesome snowshoes!
December 2nd, 2014 at 5:47 pm
Kayaking is a great solo sport, especially when trying to locate some hard to find birds on your favorite shore!
December 2nd, 2014 at 9:46 pm
Love winter and cross country skiing but would love to try walking with snowshoes so we’re not limited in how we can explore the great winter outdoors!
December 3rd, 2014 at 5:32 am
I love the quiet and beauty of winter exploration.
December 3rd, 2014 at 10:47 am
I voted kayaking, but I quickly learned on my first independent kayaking adventure to check the forecast for wind gusts. I didn’t think I would ever make it make to the shore. However, it was rather empowering once I did make it back safely.
December 5th, 2014 at 10:56 am
I went on an ECO Adventure tour in costa rica for 8 days! I met a group of 16 strangers when I arrived and had 16 new best friends when I left! It was amazing, challenging and incredibly rewarding. We did everything from canyoneering, hiking, white water rafting, zip lining across the top of the Rain Forrest…so much fun!
December 7th, 2014 at 5:03 am
Ok, I voted for running, hiking, backpacking and cycling.
I also swim a lot on my own – not that safe, but I stay close to the beach/where my feet can reach the bottom.
Ok, snowshoeing is something I haven’t done solo yet, but I reeeeeally hope to get these two beautiful Tubbs babies to try. Finally!
Btw my dog is always with me, so I’m not going THAT solo.
He is staying at home when I’m biking though.
Skiing is fun alone too, and btw, I miss the vote option for snowboarding!
I do solo snowboarding as well.
And here we have another for me needing these cute perfect snowshoe babies frm Tubbs, because I’ll have to get UP the mountain in order to ride down on my board.
I don’t have snowshoes yet at all, so pleeeease I need some luck to win this monthly prize :) :) :)
