Craving Comfort? Aventura Clothing Callie Pant Delivers

I’m training to be able to survive a half marathon in San Francisco in three weeks and after putting in several hours hoofin’ it on the trails around my home in Durango, Colorado, there’s nothing I want to do more than take a hot shower and slide into the most comfortable thing I can find in my closet. The mere thought of putting on jeans post run is truly excruciating—although there’s likely some compression recovery benefit to the latest crop of ultra-tight skinnies.

Unless they’re in the depths of the laundry basket, my go-to, comfort-inducing choice is invariably the Callie Pant from Aventura Clothing ($79). Not too thick but not too thin, these casual, kick-back pants are warm, cozy, and ultra-soft. The softness is courtesy of a French terry fabric mix that includes 95 percent organic cotton and 5 percent Spandex (hello stretchy comfort).

While Aventura Clothing’s Callie Pant is just as comfy as your favorite sweatpants, they kick this old standard to the curb with modern styling—a jeans-like boot cut is narrower at the hips and wider in the legs—and embroidered detailing (a dragon) on the left leg bottom makes these pants more than fit for a trip to the market or a casual lunch meet-up. The Callie Pant has a thicker waist band that’s adjustable but I’ve never had the need to use the drawstring as the waist seems to run on the smaller side (while the pants themselves run a bit bigger in all other areas).

These garment-dyed pants washed up well time after time, even after a round in the dryer on low heat. They are also topped perfectly with Aventura’s Jeryca Hoodie ($89, shown below), a figure-flattering, zip-up, embroidered hooded sweatshirt also crafted of cozy organic cotton and Spandex.
