A new survey shows that Americans find the eco-minded to be much more attractive.

Forget the water cooler. The recycling bin is where the action’s at in offices today. So says a new Timberland-vetted survey, which found that Americans find those who practice green habits simply to be more attractive than those who don’t. In fact, more than three quarters of Americans say that eco-minded behavior is an attractive quality in a mate. Entitled the “Green Guide to Dating and Love,” this report proves that the love you get is equal to the love you give Planet Earth. More highlights:

• 50% of Americans are attracted to people who practice eco-minded habits around the house. [Most appealing habits: 1. Turning off lights when leaving a room; 2. Conserving water; 3. Recycling.]

• 30% of people are attracted to those who consider the environmental impact of the products they buy.

• 46% would question whether to date someone who littered.

• 58% of people say they’d prefer to meet that special someone in the great outdoors.

• 54% of Americans say going on an outdoor adventure would be an ideal eco date.
