Celebrating the Life of Inge Perkins
The passionate, adventurous spirit of expert climber and skier Inge Perkins—who died last year in an avalanche on Imp Peak in Montana—is being celebrated with a gift that will inspire another female climber to reach new heights.
The Inge Perkins Scholarship has been established by a dedicated crew of people who loved Inge and have worked hard over the past year to create the Inge Perkins Scholarship Fund in her memory. A key force behind the effort were the folks at Mystery Ranch, the industry-leading pack company where Inge was a Brand Ambassador. The scholarship celebrates the life and inspiration of Inge by providing financial assistance to a young female rock climber living in the greater Gallatin Valley.
It seeks to provide an aspiring, young female climber with opportunities to gain confidence through the physical, mental, and emotional growth that climbing nurtures. The goal is to develop not just stronger climbers, but community-minded volunteers and future mentors to inspire others.
For a limited time, donations will be matched. While several family friends, kindred businesses, and Inge’s sponsors have conspired to provide initial funding, an anonymous donor has offered to match the first $10,000 dollars raised. Donate today to this GoFundMe account and be a part of this scholarship honoring Inge’s generous and adventurous spirit.
